Where do we work

Our approach to working together with communities and other key stakeholders is based on carrying out restoration actions in areas where there has been forest degradation mainly caused by fires and forest pests in Protected Areas or important water sources.

PARQUE NACIONAL LA TIGRA

Conservation and protection efforts have been carried out in the municipalities of Santa Lucía (including agroforestry systems), Valle de Ángeles, and the Central District in the villages of Cofradía and Los Plancitos, employing local labor and benefiting their families.

REFUGIO DE VIDA SILVESTRE LA MURALLA

This beautiful protected area located in the department of Olancho was fundamental to developing agroforestry systems in the municipality of La Unión, plus restoration actions that covered areas of water importance for Mangulile and La Unión.

REFUGIO DE VIDA SILVESTRE DE SUYAPA

It is the closest protected area to any other large urban development in Honduras. Furthermore, hundreds of people benefit from the water these mountains produce. The intervention has been carried out with intensive forest protection measures to prevent wildfires, in collaboration with other stakeholders, and the planting of native species.

RESERVA BIOLÓGICA DE UYUCA

Uyuca is a small but important protected area located between the municipalities of San Antonio de Oriente and Tatumbla. It is a key water source for both municipalities, and therefore, significant joint efforts have been made to keep it free of forest fires.

RESERVA BIOLÓGICA EL CHILE

Located in the municipality of Cantarranas, it stands out for its scenic landscapes and biodiversity. Our restoration and protection efforts have been directed toward ensuring that the communities that depend directly on water always benefit.
